How to Import Products

Importing Shopify products, managing collections, viewing product details, and reviewing import logs

Product Catalogs in Aspire allow you to curate specific products and define custom rules and selection criteria for members. This creates a seamless and efficient product selection process, enabling your team to scale campaigns effectively.

To get started with Product Catalogs, the first step is to import your Shopify products and collections. This article will walk you through the import process and how to efficiently manage products.

Importing Products

You can import entire Shopify collections or individual products. Expand the sections below for step-by-step directions.

How to Import Collections

  1. From your Aspire account, click on your initials in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Product Fulfillment.

  3. From the left-hand menu, click Products.

  4. Click Import Products, then select Import Collections.

  5. Search for a specific collection or scroll through the list.

  6. Click Import next to the collection(s) you want to import. All products within the selected collection(s) will be imported.

How to Import Products

  1. From your Aspire account, click on your initials in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Product Fulfillment.

  3. From the left-hand menu, click Products.

  4. Click Import Products, then select Find and Import.

  5. Click Select a filter and choose from Tag, Vendor, or Product Type.

  6. Enter a value in the textbox and press Enter.

  7. (Optional) Click Add condition to apply multiple filters. Choose whether products must match "any condition" or "all conditions".

  8. Click Find Products.
    ​

  9. Select the products you want to import, then click Save & Import.
    ​

  10. Enter a label for the collection, then click Save & Import.
    ​


Managing Collections

In the Products tab under Collections, you can view and manage your imported collections. The following details are displayed:

  • Number of Collections, Total Unique Products, and Total Unique Variants

  • Number of products imported from the collection

  • Import status

  • Date last synced

  • Team member's initials who imported the collection

There are a few actions you can perform:

  • Sync a collection: Click the circular arrow icon in the Import Status column.

  • Delete a collection: Click on the trash icon in the far-right column of the table.

  • Export data: Click the paper icon in the upper-right corner.

  • Customize columns: Click the icon with three vertical rectangles.


Viewing Product Details

To view the products within a collection:

  1. From the Products tab, click on the collection name.

  2. You will see a list of products with the following details:

    • Product Name

    • Number of Variants

    • Price

    • Tags

    • Status

Product Detail Page

Click on any product to access its Product Detail page, where you can view the following Shopify product data fields:

  • Product ID

  • Aspire Tags

  • Product Name and Description

  • Product Images

  • Inventory Settings

  • Available Quantity

  • Product Category, Type, and Tags

  • Price

  • Product Variants: Product, SKU, Inventory, Price and Cost


Assigning Tags

You can assign Aspire-specific tags to products to help define selection criteria. These tags are for internal use and will not appear in your Shopify store.

How To Create a New Tag

  1. From the Product Detail page, click the + sign next to "Aspire Tags".

  2. Type the tag name in the search bar.

  3. Click Create this new tag.

How To Assign Tags

  1. From the Product Detail page, click the + sign next to "Aspire Tags".

  2. Select the tag(s) you want to assign to the product.

  3. Click Assign Tags.


How to View Import Logs

From the Products tab, click the clipboard icon to view the Import Logs.

The Import Logs will display:

  • Imported collections

  • Number of products imported/synced

  • Import status

  • Team member who initiated the import

  • Date of creation and completion

  • Success or error messages
