Create Your First Campaign

Learn how to create your first campaign and customize it to your specific needs.

Written by Ana Lopez

What is a Campaign? The backbone of any collaboration. Each campaign will have its own customizable workflow and custom, branded application page. You can edit the workflow stages to suit your campaign structure and streamline your most time-consuming tasks.

Step 1: Pick a campaign type

Campaign types act as a starting point for your workflow. You can further customize your workflow after selecting.

  1. Click Campaign on the left navigation.

  2. Select the "+ New Campaign" at the top right.

  3. Select from one of our pre-made campaign type or create a Custom Campaign.

Step 2: Set your objectives

Objectives are the outcomes your Campaign is anchored to. You can pick more than one — each objective becomes a trackable goal on your Overview page.

  • Brand Awareness — Reach, impressions, and brand visibility through creator audiences.

  • Content Creation — High-quality posts, reels, or videos from creators for your brand.

  • Sales & Conversions — Revenue through affiliate links, promo codes, and creator-driven sales.

  • Product Seeding — Get products into creators' hands and track organic mentions.

  • Ambassador Program — A long-term creator partnership with recurring deliverables.

Goals and metrics

Each objective you select becomes a row in the Goals section below the cards. For each one, pick the metric you'll measure it by:

Impressions · Engagement · Reach · Sales Revenue · Conversions · Content Pieces · Products Seeded · Active Creators · TMV · CPM · CPE

Step 3: Complete your campaign details

  • Campaign Image — Pick an icon for quick setup, or upload a PNG / JPG (2 MB max). Shows on the campaign card and the creator application page.

  • Internal name (required, up to 100 characters) — Only your team sees this. Use whatever naming convention helps you organize campaigns.

  • Creator-facing name (optional, up to 100 characters) — The public name shown to creators on the application page and in emails. Leave blank and it defaults to your internal name.

  • Description (optional) — A short note about the campaign goal or context, visible to your team only.

  • Active Dates — Add a start, an option End Date, or toggle on the Evergreen button

  • Hashtag Tracking (optional) — type a hashtag and press Enter to track it. Tracked hashtags are used for social listening and auto-assignment to this Campaign.

All of the Campaign Details can be edited at a later time by accessing your Settings.

Step 4: Review and create

The final step summarizes everything you picked and previews your default workflow before the Campaign is created.

You can rearrange or customize these from Settings → Workflow after creation.

Step 5: Complete the next steps

Application Pages allow you to begin sourcing creators through Aspire's various recruiting methods.

Briefs are Aspire's Creator agreements, allowing you to define deliverables, due dates, usage, and much more!

Set up a Promo Code or Link offer based on your program's specific needs. Connect it to your campaign to generate links/codes directly from your workflow.

Whether you are using our Catalogs, Gift Orders or our Request Form for non-Shopify brands, you can easily setup a streamlined fulfillment process with Aspire.
