Ad permissions allow you to boost creator posts and run paid partnership ads using their content. There are two ways to request ad permissions in Aspire: during the brief creation process and from the Social Post Dashboard after content is published.
Understanding Ad Permission Types
Paid Partnership Ads: Grants account-level permission to boost posts where creators tag your brand. No specific dates required. Compatible with our CreatorAds suite!
Allowlisting: Grants broader access to creator's social accounts with specific start/end date terms (recommended: 2 months). More comprehensive access for advanced advertising strategies.
TikTok Spark Ads: Use organic TikTok posts as paid ads by turning real TikTok posts into ads, Spark Ads ensure that engagement metrics (views, comments, shares, likes, and follows) generated by the boosted video are attributed to the original post.
To use CreatorAds to run Ads directly from Aspire, you must have Paid Partnership Ad Permissions. We do not support running Allowlisting Ads from the CreatorAds Suite.
We also do not yet support TikTok Ad creation, but you can still request permissions and manage the TikTok Spark Ad process from Aspire (see here)
Request Permissions with Briefs
Prerequisites: Brief Setup
Before sending your brief, ensure you have created your project, identified target creators, defined content deliverables and compensation, and determined what type of ad permissions you need.
Step 1: Send Briefs with Ad Permissions
Navigate to your project workflow > Briefs > Send Briefs tab
Select Creators > Send Briefs action > Select Content Guidelines for deliverables
Select relevant permissions and, where applicable, set start/end dates or authorization periods.
Step 2: Send and Track
Once the brief is sent, the Creators will see ad permission requests in their brief with a "Grant Access" button for easy approval.
Track approval status in your Advertiser Access Dashboard or directly in Meta Ads Manager
Considerations
β Streamlines workflow from collaboration to advertising
β Easier to negotiate compensation as part of overall collaboration
π« Requires planning ahead before creator outreach
π« May increase initial collaboration costs
Best for: New collaborations, ongoing relationships, and performance marketing strategies
Request Permissions from Social Post Dashboard
Step 1: Review Post Performance
Go to Reporting > Social Dashboard > Posts, filter for posts from your target creators, and look for posts where creators have tagged your brand as a paid partner.
Step 2: Request Permissions
For Paid Partnership Ads: Find posts you want to boost, if you do not have permissions, you can draft an ad which will send a permission request directly to the creator. Check out "How to Run Ads in Aspire" for more details!
For Allowlisting: Contact creators directly through Aspire messaging to negotiate ad access terms and compensation.
Step 3: Monitor Status
Track approval status in your Advertiser Access Dashboard or directly in Meta Ads Manager
Considerations
β Allows retroactive requests for high-performing content
β More flexibility to choose specific posts
β Can test organic performance first which makes it more budget friendly
π« Lower approval rates and higher fees for retroactive requests
π« More manual process with individual negotiations
Best for: Existing high-performing content, testing partnerships, and one-off opportunities
β Troubleshooting Common Issues
Creator Won't Grant Permissions: Discuss compensation for ad access, explain mutual benefits of boosting their content, or consider performance-based incentives.
Creator is Blocked from Granting Access: Creator accounts need to meet certain requirements before granting access or connecting insights. To troubleshoot, include [email protected] in your thread with Creators or share this resource as a starting point.
β Tracking Your Ad Permissions
Use the Advertiser Access Dashboard to view all creators who have granted you access, including permission type, access dates, expiration status, and available actions. Eligible posts automatically appear in CreatorAds for direct boosting.
