When you create a campaign with YouTube deliverables in Aspire, a YouTube Creator Partnerships campaign is automatically created in the background β enabling deal reporting, video tagging, and non-public metrics.
How It Works
If your YouTube channel is already connected to Aspire, a YouTube Creator Partnership campaign is automatically created in the background when you select a YouTube Video or YouTube Short as a deliverable type when creating a brief. No extra steps required.
After creation, you'll see a Campaign Code in your project settings. This code must be shared with your creators so they can tag their videos in YouTube Studio.
If your YouTube channel is NOT connected, you'll see a prompt with three options:
Option | What happens |
Connect YouTube | You'll go through the Google authorization flow. Once connected, a YouTube campaign is created and deals will be reported to YouTube. You will have access to all Creator Partnership features: video tagging, non-public metrics, and boosting. |
Continue without channel | A YouTube campaign is created and deals will be reported to YouTube, but creators won't be able to tag videos and non-public metrics won't be available. |
Skip | A normal Aspire campaign is created. Nothing is reported to YouTube. No Creator Partnership features will be available for this campaign. |
Campaign Code
After the YouTube campaign is created, a 6-character campaign code appears in your project settings (e.g., A7X2K9).
You must share this code with your creators. Creators use it to tag their videos to your campaign in YouTube Studio, which is what unlocks non-public video metrics and boosting. The campaign code is also automatically shown to creators on the content submission page in their creator portal.
Campaign Dates
If your project has start and end dates, those are used for the YouTube campaign.
If no dates are set, Aspire auto-generates them: start date = campaign creation date, end date = 12 months from creation.
Campaign dates determine when creators can see and link videos to the campaign in YouTube Studio.
