If you want to import your own data to Aspire and integrate it with other data sources, we provide a self-serve CSV upload feature that helps you easily finish the task!

Video Walkthrough:

Format your upload

We recommend using Aspire's Member Upload Template (attached) when uploading for the first time. This template gives the proper column headers and example formatting.

Formating Best Practices:

Each creator should have a unique identifier (required):

Field

CSV Column

Format

Email

"email"

This is the email in which you plan to communicate with the creator. For agent emails, we recommend making the email creator specific as shown above!

Unique ID

"uid"

This can follow any format, generally this can be the creators social handle if an email is not available.

Member ID

"id"

12345678910

This ID is generated the first time a member is uploaded or added to Aspire. This is needed to update member data for existing members to avoid duplicates.

Each creator should have social accounts (optional):

Platform

CSV Column

Format

Instagram

"instagram"

creatorhandle

Do not use "@" or include full URLs

TikTok

"tiktok"

creatorhandle

Do not use "@" or include full URLs

YouTube

Do not use handle, only include channel URLs

Pinterest

If you have address information (optional):

Import CSV

  1. Navigate to the Members tab in our left navigation bar

  2. To organize your import, we recommend you to create a Group

  3. Use the download & import icon to begin

Assign fields

For any fields in your CSV file you want to import, assign the corresponding field under "Import To" so it can match with the existing data field. Any unassigned fields will not be imported.

If you need to create a new field but not assign it to an existing field, you can open the dropdown and select "Import as a new field"

Assign members

If your uploaded CSV file does not include a Group, Project, or Owner field, you can assign the imported members to an existing Project, Group or Owner.

Review Import

If all field and members were uploaded successfully, you are finished! Please confirm there were no errors when importing that may need to be resolved through further imports.

Troubleshooting Tips

Members Already Exist
If a member with the same identifier already exists in Aspire, the new member will not be uploaded.

Duplicate Members

If a member with the same identifier exists more than once in your CSV file, the first instance will be uploaded.

If you need to update member data in bulk for existing members, we recommend using the Aspire Member ID to maintain data integrity. Please reach out to [email protected] for any questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you match data with existing records?

We match data based on ID (first priority; generated from Export) and Email (second priority). If we find the matched record, we will override the data with the imported one. If a record is not matched, it will be added as a new record.

Can I assign different projects/groups to people in the CSV file?

Yes. To do so, ensure that you include the field (projects, groups, etc) in the file. Please also make sure that the value in the file is identical to the actual name used on Aspire. For example, if you want to assign a person to an existing project ("Test Project"), the value in the file should be also "Test Project". This method can be used to import tags too!

Can I assign to a project/group that has not been created on Aspire yet?

For Projects, you will need to create it in Aspire first. For Groups, it will create one if you upload a CSV with a group name.

Can I upload tags?

Similar to Groups, once you upload a CSV with a tag under the Tags column, it will automatically create one in Aspire and assign it to the member/s.

Example: US Influencer|No Response|Micro Influencer

What date format do you support?

We support most of the common date formats. However, if you encounter any issues, we recommend using either mm/dd/yyyy or yyyy/mm/dd.

How do I upload a list of influencers that I don't have emails for?

You'll need to assign a unique identifier to each influencer, such as their social handle or a numeric ID. Then, create a column on your CSV with the header "uid" and enter the unique identifier for each influencer.

How should I format the creator's social handles in my CSV?

  • For Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest, enter the creator's handle (no links or @ sign)

  • For Youtube and blogs, enter the full link to the creator's account

How can I upload a CSV with Talent Manager?

To import a list with a Talent Manager, please enter the following as column headers in the following order.

  1. Talent Manager #1 - Name

    1. Cell should contain talent manager's email

  2. Talent Manager #1 - Name

    1. Cell should contain talent manager's full name

  3. Talent Manager #1 - Always CC

    1. Cell should contain TRUE or FALSE

Important Note: Please leave the "IMPORT TO" field as is.
