What are Instagram Insights?
Instagram Insights is the interface that allows us to collect detailed information about a creator’s posts, audience, and IG Stories data.
Why do I need Instagram Insights?
We use Instagram Insights to ensure that you have more data in your Analytics to understand how your campaign is performing in terms of:
Actual impressions
Audiences reached by gender and country
IG story reporting (Views and unique views)
Without this data, your analytics report will be less complete.
Should I require Instagram Insights?
The main downside of requiring Instagram Insights is that it adds friction to getting going with your collab. In particular, the creator must have an Instagram Business or Creator account. Most influencers with at least 10,000 followers already have a Creator account. However, if you are working with a non-influencer, they will need to convert their profile.
The other thing to consider is that you are about to spend product, time, and possibly budget on a collab with this creator. Given that, you will likely want the most complete data possible.
Long story short, you should require Insights if:
You are paying for the collab or sending expensive products to the creator
The creator is influential with at least 10,000 followers
