How to Send Standard Briefs

How to send standard briefs individually to members in a project

Written by Ana Lopez

Before sending Standard Briefs, you'll need to create your Content Guideline Templates, which are used to populate your Briefs with content creation guidelines for each selected deliverable.

We also recommend creating a Brief Template to save time by pre-filling common collaboration details such as compensation, usage rights, and more.

Once your templates are ready, you're ready to send Briefs to creators in your project. 🎉

How to Send Standard Briefs

  1. Open your project.

  2. Navigate to the Briefs stage.

  3. Open the Send Briefs substage.

  4. Select one or multiple creators to send a brief to, then click Send Briefs.

  5. Select content deliverables by clicking the + icon next to each Content Guideline Template you'd like to include in the Brief and adjust the quantity. After adding all required deliverables, click Collaboration Details.

  6. Your selected Content Guideline Templates will appear. If needed, you can edit any guideline or add additional instructions before sending the Brief.

  7. If you'd like to review content before it's published, enable Content Approval by checking the box "Content must be submitted for review before being posted" and acknowledge the requirement to review submissions within 3 business days.

💡 Need a longer review window? Contact [email protected] to extend your content review period to 7 business days.

  8. Next, set the due dates for each deliverable, including the content submission date for draft approval (if applicable) and content publishing date

📣 Pro tip: Add a 1–2 week buffer when setting due dates to account for potential shipping or content production delays.

  9. Select one or more compensation types:

    • Payment

    • Free Product

    • Commission

    • No Compensation

If you've created a Brief Template, your default compensation settings will already be populated. You can update them before sending the Brief.

📌 Note: If you need to offer Net 30 or Net 60 payment terms instead of the default 7 business days, contact [email protected].

  10. Choose the content usage rights you'd like to request from the creator.

If you're using a Brief Template, your default usage rights will automatically populate and can be edited if needed.

  11. (Optional) If you'd like to promote a creator's content through paid advertising, request the appropriate permissions directly in the Brief.

Depending on the deliverables selected, you can request:

    • Instagram Allowlisting

    • Instagram Paid Partnership Ads

    • TikTok Spark Ads

    • YouTube Paid Partnership Ads

The creator will grant access for the date range or duration period you specify.

  12. (Optional) Require creators to connect their Instagram Insights to Aspire so you can receive the most post performance data.

Note: If your Brief includes an Instagram Story deliverable, Instagram Insights are automatically required so Aspire can retrieve Story analytics.

  13. (Optional) If you don't want creators to propose edits to the brief, check the box Prevent creators from editing the Brief before sending.

  14. Click Review & Set Offers to review a summary of the brief(s) you're sending, including:

    • Deliverables

    • Number of requested content pieces

    • Estimated reach

    • Compensation

  15. Add an optional personalized message to your creator, then click Send Brief to send the Brief.
