Detailed steps on how to connect your Outlook account

Connecting your Outlook mailbox to Aspire allows you to send and receive communications from your brand email address directly on the platform. It also allows you to invite people to your projects and reach out to new people that you're interested in collaborating with.

We will only sync your emails with members in Aspire, so no need to worry about your personal correspondence showing up. We can even block specific domains from the sync for further privacy, just let us know!

๐Ÿ’ก Before you proceed, please review the requirements below to ensure your email is ready to connect to Aspire.

  • Must be a Microsoft Online Exchange inbox, and not On-Premise

  • Inbox must have its own password and cannot be accessed through the userโ€™s personal login credentials*

  • Cannot be a delegated inbox

How to Connect Your Outlook Account

Directions

  1. Click your initials in the top right-hand corner and select Integrations.

  2. Select Outlook on the left-hand side, then click "Connect".

    ๐Ÿ“Œ Note: If you already have an email connected to Aspire and want to connect another email, you will have to click the plus icon beside "My accounts" to connect another email.

  3. Choose whether you'd like to connect a Shared email or an individual email, then click "Continue". For more information on connecting a Shared email, please check out this article.

  4. Next, choose the email account you want to connect.

  5. After choosing your Outlook account, a permissions screen will appear. Please ensure you check off ALL permissions when prompted, as they are all critical to being able to use our Outlook integration.

  6. Then, you'll be redirected back to Aspire and will see the email account you connected. You can adjust your settings and preferences on this page, then click Save Changes.

    • Display Name - Edit this if you want to change the name that is shown to creators when you send them an email.

    • "Mark as read options" - Decide if you want the emails coming in through Aspire to be automatically marked as read in your native Outlook inbox.

    • Signature - Use this text box to edit the signature that you would like included when sending outbound emails through Aspire.
