What are Instagram Insights?
Instagram Insights help you view information about your audience (including their gender, age range and location), as well as the performance of your Instagram posts and stories (which ones your audience sees and engages with the most). This information is also extremely useful for brands because it helps them determine if you are a good fit for their campaigns and measure the success of your posts.
In order for brand partners to view your Instagram Insights via Aspire, you must have a Business OR Creator account that is associated with a Facebook page and you must connect your Insights on Aspire.
What do I need to connect my Instagram Insights?
An Instagram Business Account or Instagram Creator Account
A Facebook Page that is linked to your Instagram account
Admin permissions to your Facebook Page
Why do I need to connect my Instagram with a Facebook Page to collect Insights? Why do I need a Facebook Page at all?
We require your Instagram to be connected to a Facebook page because the permissions to access this information are all managed through your Facebook account – not Instagram.
Do Insights share my private information?
Once your Insights is linked, we do not have access to any private information. We only have access to metrics and data related to your social accounts. We will NEVER post content on your behalf, nor will we follow pages, like or comment on posts or content.
What does the permission "Manage Pages" mean?
"Manage Pages" by Facebook's definition, means helping people, AKA Aspire, "analyze or manage the posts, comments and likes published to their (your) Pages."
It's just the permissions needed to pull content off of your Instagram and Facebook. What we do is capture the posts you've uploaded to those social accounts and bring them into our archives, so you can upload that accordingly into the collaboration. This way, the brand can track your posts' performance AND it makes it super convenient to where you don't have to send screenshots over and over. The manage pages functionality allows us to track the types of audiences your posts are reaching in real time.
Aspire has no ability on the backend to take an action on your page, post on your behalf, or anything related to managing your account. The permissions we use are strictly read-only access.
Can I move forward on a collaboration without connecting Insights?
Brands can skip the Insights requirements if they want to. However, you already need to be in collaboration with the brand in order for them to do so. You will not be able to apply to most campaigns without Insights or collaborate with most brands.
Why are we blocked from moving forward on our collab?
You’re about to spend time creating content for this brand. You want to make sure that your efforts are noticed and that brands understand how your content is performing. Without Insights linked, brands will not be able to evaluate the success of your collaboration or their campaign, which is not a great experience for anyone.
