By now, you’ve probably heard that Instagram is offering its users the option to hide the number of likes they receive on posts on the app. The tool has been tested in several countries since 2019, but it is now being rolled out globally.

No need to panic! Your “likes” won’t entirely disappear. You’ll still be able to see your own “likes” in your Instagram Insights, and as long as you’ve linked your Insights on Aspire, our brands will have access to that information as well!

If you’re not already familiar, Instagram Insights help you learn more about your audience (including their gender, age range and location), as well as the performance of your Instagram posts and stories (which ones your audience sees and engages with the most). By linking your Instagram Insights on Aspire, you’re allowing brands to see this information so they can determine if you are a good fit for their campaign.

If you’ve tried to link your Instagram Insights and are running into issues, please read our help article here or contact us at [email protected] and we’ll get you set up!

It’s important to note that “likes” are just one of the metrics brands evaluate when identifying the quality of your content and authenticity of your followers. The list below includes some of the other metrics we pull for our brands:

  • Comment engagement

  • Reach (total number of unique accounts who see your content)

  • Impressions (total number of times your content is seen)

  • Shares

  • Clicks

  • And more!

We know changes like this one can be stressful and confusing, but we’re here to support you and ensure that you can still discover great brands to collaborate with through our platform, and they can still discover you!
