Overview

With Aspire's Klaviyo Integration, you can sync member data to your Klaviyo account to then segment and add to campaigns or flows. This allows you to build custom email nurture sequences and send bulk messages to specific groups without the hassle of manually downloading and uploading contact information. 🎉

Here are some ways you can use the Klaviyo integration:

  • Create an ambassador welcome series to provide new ambassadors with information about your brand, resources, and promotional materials.

  • Send a monthly newsletter to your affiliates to keep them in the loop on upcoming product launches and promotions.

  • Provide exclusive discounts or early access to new products to your ambassadors and influencers as a way to motivate and engage them.

  • Send surveys to gather feedback from your ambassadors and affiliates about their experience and any improvements you can make.

Important: Members will be synced to Klaviyo as "Active profiles". We recommend suppressing any profiles you do not intend to communicate with to avoid going over your Klaviyo monthly usage limit. See this article on how to suppress profiles.

​To review your Account Limits, go to your Klaviyo settings and select Billing.

How to Connect Your Klaviyo Account

  1. Hover over your initials in the top right corner and select Integrations.

  2. On the left-hand side, click on Klaviyo.

  3. Click Connect to authenticate your Klaviyo account.

  4. On the login screen, enter the email address and password associated with your Klaviyo account then click "Log in" or select "Log in with SSO".

    Note: A workplace ID is required to log in with SSO.

  5. You will see a message that this app has not been reviewed by Klaviyo's partner team. Aspire's Klaviyo app is currently under review. Click Continue to proceed.

  6. Click Allow to grant the Aspire app access to your Klaviyo account.

  7. Upon successfully connecting your Klaviyo account, you will be redirected back to Aspire and should see your account connected.


Manage Sync Preferences

Sync All Members

To sync all of the members within your Aspire account, click the blue Sync button next to your Klaviyo account name.


Sync Specific Projects And/Or Groups

To only sync members that belong to specific projects or groups, toggle OFF the "Sync all members created or updated to Klaviyo" option under Advanced Settings. Then, select the project(s) and/or group(s) you want to sync members from.

Once selected, click the blue Sync button next to your Klaviyo account name.


​Enable Daily Auto Sync

To enable automatic syncing, toggle ON the "Enable daily auto sync" option under Advanced Settings. This will run a daily sync. You can always run a manual sync as often as you would like by clicking the Sync button.

Keep Specific Projects And/Or Groups Synced

If you want to keep selected projects and/or groups synced, toggle ON the "Keep Synced" option next to each project and/or group.

Manual Sync

To manually sync a specific project or group, click the Sync button next to the project or group under the Actions column.

To manually sync all selected projects and groups, click the Actions button, then select Sync.


How to Disconnect the Klaviyo Integration

To disconnect your Klaviyo account, go to your Integrations settings page, then select Klaviyo and click "Disconnect" next to the connected account.


Frequently Asked Questions

What members from Aspire are synced to Klaviyo?

By default, all members within your Aspire account will be synced to Klaviyo as an active profile. If you want to sync members from specific projects or groups, you can toggle OFF the setting "Sync all members created or updated to klaviyo" under Advanced Settings, then select the project(s) and/or group(s) that you want to sync members from.

What kind of member data is pushed to Klaviyo?

The following contact details will be pushed to Klaviyo:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Address (Address1, Address2, Zip Code, City, State, Country)

  • Social media profiles: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Youtube, Facebook

  • Relationship data: Aspire Project(s), Aspire Group(s), Aspire Tag(s)

How often does the sync occur?

Under Advanced Settings, you can toggle ON the "Enable daily auto sync" option to automatically sync data on a daily basis. Alternatively, you can manually run the sync at any time by clicking "Sync" on the Klaviyo integration page within Aspire.

If a member is removed from a project or group, will this be reflected in Klaviyo?

Yes. If a member is removed from a project or group, this will be updated in Klaviyo during the next sync to ensure they do not receive unintended emails.

If the auto sync is disabled, the changes will be reflected in Klaviyo once the Sync button is clicked – it will not happen automatically.

Can we select a specific project or group to export to Klaviyo?

Yes. Under Advanced Settings, you can toggle OFF the "Sync all members created or updated to klaviyo" option, then select specific project(s) and/or group(s) that you want to sync members from.

Can we sync members to a specific Klaviyo list or segment?

No. Currently, members will be synced to "All Profiles" and can then be added to various lists and/or segments.

If “Enable daily auto sync” is toggled ON, but “Keep Synced” is toggled OFF for specific projects and groups, will those projects and groups be synced daily?

No. If "Enable daily auto sync" is toggled ON, only the projects and/or groups with "Keep Synced" toggled ON will be synced daily.

What if I want to sync a person who is not in a project yet?

We recommend adding them to a group.

How many Klaviyo accounts can be connected to an Aspire account?

Currently, only one Klaviyo account can be connected.

If we have multiple Aspire accounts, can we connect the same Klaviyo account to all of them?

No. At this time, a Klaviyo account can only be connected to one Aspire account at a time.
