Overview
To enable Instagram Direct Messaging on Aspire to invite creators, view and respond to DMs, and pull in IG Stories you're mentioned in, you must follow these steps to allow access to your brand's Instagram messages. You can choose from two methods, depending on where you'd like to access your settings.
Note: Your Instagram settings may look slightly different depending on the version of the app you have.
Method #1: Using the Instagram App’s Settings Menu
Launch the Instagram app on your phone. Once it's open, go to your profile by tapping on your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.
Tap on the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top-right corner, and then choose Settings at the bottom of the menu.
Within the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on Messages and Story Replies.
Next, tap on Message Controls to access additional messaging settings.
Scroll down slightly to find the Allow access to messages option under "Connected tools." Toggle the switch to ON.
Method #2: Through Instagram Privacy Settings
Open the Instagram app, go to your profile, and tap on the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top-right corner. From there, select Settings.
In the Settings menu, tap on Privacy.
Scroll down and tap on Messages to access your messaging options.
Under "Connected Tools," find the Allow access to messages option. Toggle the switch to ON.
