Rewards are performance-based incentives you can offer creators for reaching specific milestones. There are three types of rewards: discount codes, free product, and cash bonuses.
This article will walk you through how to create cash rewards. For an overview of how rewards work in general, see this article.
Setting Up Cash Rewards
Navigate to your Sales Tracking dashboard by clicking Reporting → Sales Tracking.
Select an existing offer or create a new offer.
Note: If you're creating a new offer, you'll need to save it first. Click “Create Offer,” then navigate to your Offer Settings to proceed with creating your first reward.
Expand the Rewards section and click Create your first reward (or Create Reward if rewards already exist).
Enter a name for the reward. This name will be visible to creators.
Select a trigger to determine when the reward should be issued (e.g., number of conversions, total sales). Options include:
When number of conversions equal X: Triggers a reward one time when the creator reaches exactly X conversions
For every X conversions: Triggers a reward each time the creator hits an additional X conversions (e.g., 5, 25, 50, etc.).
On first conversion: Triggers a reward the first time a conversion is recorded.
When total sales are greater than or equal to $X: Triggers a reward when the creator’s total sales reach or exceed $X.
For every $X in total sales: Triggers a reward for every X dollars in sales a creator drives (e.g., $100, $200, etc.).
On first order value greater than or equal to $X: Triggers a reward when the first order with a subtotal equal to or greater than $X is recorded for the creator.
When a single order subtotal is greater than or equal to $X: Triggers a reward when any individual order has a subtotal that meets or exceeds $X.
Select Cash Reward as the reward type.
Enter the value of the cash reward (in USD).
(Optional) Expand the Reward Settings section to configure the following settings:
Limit number of times this reward can be earned: For recurring triggers (e.g., every X conversions or every $X in sales), set the maximum number of times a creator can earn the reward.
This reward requires approval first: Manually approve each reward before it's issued. When enabled, the reward is hidden from the creator’s portal until approved.
If creators will be selecting their own product, you'll also be prompted to review their order request.
Hide reward from member's portal: Keeps the reward hidden from the Creator Portal until it's awarded. Useful for surprise rewards.
Reward active dates: Set a start and end date to define when the reward is eligible to be earned. The reward will only trigger during this time frame.
(Optional) Expand the Rewards Eligibility section to customize which creators are eligible to earn the reward. By default, all members in the offer are eligible to earn rewards, but you can customize eligibility in a few ways:
All Members: All members in the offer can earn the reward.
Specific Members: Select only certain members within the offer to be eligible.
Excluded Members: Choose specific members to exclude from earning the reward.
Click Done to save the reward.
To add more rewards, click Create Reward. To edit a reward, click the pencil icon next to it.
Processing Cash Rewards
Cash rewards are tracked separately from commissions, but you can choose to pay them together with commission earnings in one payment.
When you click Send Payment, you’ll see three options:
Make Full Payment: Pay out both commissions earned and cash rewards.
Pay for Commission: Pay out commission earnings only.
Pay for Rewards: Pay out cash rewards only.
In your Payments dashboard:
Commission-only payments are labeled as Commission.
Rewards-only payments are labeled as Rewards.
Combined payments display both the Commission and Rewards icons.
💡 You can also filter payments by payment type (Commission, Rewards, or both) to quickly find what you need.
