Aspire’s Instagram Mention Listening helps you uncover users who are organically mentioning your brand’s Instagram account — whether you’re tagged in a caption or mentioned in a post.
By surfacing these mentions, Aspire makes it easy to discover brand fans, track organic buzz, and connect with potential collaborators who are already talking about your products.
How It Works
To enable Instagram Mention Listening, you must connect your brand's Instagram account to Aspire. See this guide for step-by-step instructions. Once connected, we will begin tracking mentions of your brand’s handle in the Mentions tab.

Will posts captured by Mention Listening appear in Social Analytics?
Instagram mentions will only appear in your Social Analytics dashboard if one of the following conditions is met:
The post was created by a member not sourced through Mention Listening or
The post was created by a member sourced through Mention Listening who is already part of a project or group.

You can find creators who mentioned your brand on Instagram by navigating to Recruit > Mentions.

No, we do not currently differentiate whether a member was added to the Mentions page due to an Instagram or TikTok mention. The "Mentions" column will display posts from both platforms.

Due to limitations with Meta’s API, Aspire can only capture and assign Instagram Collab posts to the original author.

It typically takes 24-48 hours for a new Instagram post that meets all the requirements to appear in your @ Mention section within Aspire. Instagram Stories will appear sooner.

Instagram Story mentions are pulled into Aspire in the following ways:
If your brand has their Instagram account connected to Aspire, we will pull in any Instagram Story that @ mentions your brand's handle.
If a creator has their Instagram Insights linked and they @ mention your brand's handle in the text of their story (Note: Story sticker mentions are not currently supported).
If a creator has their Instagram Insights linked, we will capture all of their Stories and they can select which one(s) to submit when setting content live.

No, Aspire will capture mentions from any public Instagram user, even if they are not yet connected to your brand within the platform.
If the user who mentioned our brand is not a member in our Aspire account, will they be added to our Members tab?
If the user who mentioned our brand is not a member in our Aspire account, will they be added to our Members tab?
No. They will appear only in the @ Mentions tab under Recruit. From there, you can choose to add them to a group or project.
