What Are Deep Links?

Deep links are URLs that link directly to a specific page, such as a collection or product page, rather than the homepage.

For example:

By allowing your creators to generate their own deep links, they can direct their audience to the most relevant pages or products on your site based on the content they’re creating and what resonates most with their audience. They can make as many deep links as they wish, with all conversions tracked under the primary link you generated.

To enable members to generate deep links, you must toggle on the setting "Allow creators to create deep links" under Advanced Options within your Offer Settings. Any deep links they create will be visible to you and can be edited or removed as needed.

🚀 Here is a helpful guide you can provide to your creators on how to generate deep links!

How It Works

Once creators receive an email with their tracking link, they can access their Creator Portal or Affiliate Performance Dashboard to view their link and create custom deep links.

Under "Custom Deep Links" on the left-hand side, creators will click "Add", then enter a label name and the URL for their deep link.

Once they click “Generate Link”, a new Short Link will be created with the label name they entered. They can easily copy the deep links they’ve created and share them on social media.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can creators generate a deep link for any URL?

By default, the URL a creator enters must match the domain of the Offer URL. If a creator tries to enter a URL with a different domain, they will receive an error message prompting them to use a URL that begins with the same domain as the Offer URL.

If you would like creators to generate deep links using other domains, please contact our Support Team at [email protected]. We can add the desired domain(s) to your account, allowing you to select which domains to enable within your offer settings under Advanced Options.

What happens to an existing deep link if a creator edits the URL?

If a creator edits an existing deep link and replaces it with a new URL, the Full Link will be updated while the Short Link remains the same. This ensures that creators who have already shared the deep link on social media won't need to update the link— the Short Link will automatically redirect to the new URL.

What happens if a creator deletes a deep link they created and somebody clicks on that link?

The link will still be valid and redirect the user to the webpage.
