For Promo Code offers, you can refresh promo codes to edit the discount code name and re-issue codes to an individual member or a specific set of members. This can be helpful if you detect a promo code leak or want to edit a member’s code to accommodate a creator’s request for a particular code name.
In this article, we’ll review how to refresh promo codes for members from your Sales Tracking dashboard, project workflow, and member profiles.
📣 Important Note: We recommend you compose an email to the affected member(s) to notify them of these changes, as they will not receive an automatic notification when edits are made.
How to Refresh Promo Codes
Go to the Offers tab
Select a promo code offer
Select one or multiple members
Click “Manage Member's Offer”
Select “Refresh Promo Codes”
Enter a new promo code for the selected member(s)

Compose a message to notify the member. This is optional, but highly recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in Shopify when we refresh an existing promo code?
The previous promo code name will no longer be valid. All historical conversion data for the code will still be available within Aspire and Shopify. As the new code generates conversions, the data will be aggregated with previous conversion data.
Will creators receive an automatic notification that their codes have been changed?
No, we do not send automatic email notifications to members when an offer has been edited. You can send a notification by selecting the affected members and initiating a bulk email. This is optional, but highly recommended. Any changes will be reflected immediately in the member’s Creator Portal.
Can we enter the existing promo code name to refresh a code's usage limits?
Yes. When setting up your offer, you may have selected to limit the number of times the code can be used in total. If you wish to reset this limit to 0, you can refresh a promo code by entering the existing code name.
