One of the best ways to measure the results of your influencer and affiliate campaigns is to provide your members with a tracking link.

A tracking link is a unique URL assigned to a specific member that redirects to your website or a specific product page. When a user clicks on the link and makes a purchase, the sale will be attributed back to that member. Aside from using links to track product sales, you can also use tracking links for other conversion events, such as email signups, downloads, and form submissions.

What is an Offer?

Aspire's Sales Tracking dashboard is based on a core concept called “offers”: promotions of products or services your company will provide for members to drive traffic to. Before you generate links for your members, you'll need to create an offer for them to promote. You can create one offer or as many as you'd like!

This article will walk you through how to create a Link Tracking Offer and generate unique links for your members.

How to Create a Link Tracking Offer

Navigate to the Reporting tab (right) > Sales Tracking to begin.

Step 1: Fill out your Offer details

  1. Complete the Offer Name

    • Name of the product, service or promotion being offered. You can also name your offers by project, group, or type of member. We recommend using a straightforward name that your members will understand.

      • Examples: Black Friday Cyber Monday Sale, Ambassadors, VIP Influencers

  2. + Add Description (optional and internal)

    • A short description of the offer. This is for internal purposes only and will not be visible to members.

  3. + Upload image or select an icon (optional)

  4. Offer Status

    • Active: Links will become active

    • Paused: Links will become inactive and stop tracking conversions

Step 2: Customize your tracking and commission

  1. Offer URL Tracking: The primary destination for your creators' unique links!

  2. Conversion Type: Conversions will be selected by default

    • Conversions: when a customer completes a purchase or intended action

    • Lead generation: Lead generation forms are typically utilized on a landing page with some sort of “offer” to entice the user to fill out a form and provide their contact information. The visitor becomes a lead and the conversion is tracked when they submit the form.

    • Email submits: customers who make it to the email signup confirmation page

    • Downloads: app downloads

  3. Tracking Method: This setting tells the server how to track a user’s click and conversion. Learn more about the conversion tracking methods we support here.

    • If you are unsure, you can select Javascript Postback!

  4. Payouts: Edit and add Payouts to set up your Commission Tiers!

    • Select between Commission per Sale (CPS %) or Cost per Conversion ($) (Learn more about the different payout types here.)

    • For each payout option, you will enter a Payout Title and Payout Value.

      • Payout Title: Enter a brief label to describe the payout option.

      • Payout Value: The amount the member will earn based on the payout type.

Step 3: Configure any additional settings

Offer End Date

Select an End Date to determine when you want the links to no longer track sales for your offer. The links will still be accessible passed the expiration date but tracking will no longer continue!

UTM Settings

Supported UTM variables: Enter a static value, such as "aspire" or select from a list of dynamic variables that will be unique based on the parameter selected.

Dynamic Parameter: By selecting any of the below, the parameter will be unique based on the creator's link!

  • {creator_name}

  • {creator_ig_username}

  • {project_name}

  • {link_offer_name}

  • {creator_tiktok_username}

  • {member_id}

Deep Link Settings

Deep Link Settings

Allow creators to create deep links gives creators the ability to take different pages on your site to create unique tracking links to share with their followers.

If unselected, creators will not have this option visible in their portal. You and your team can optionally create additional links on behalf of the creator.

Additional Domains for deep links are sites other than your e-comm site where you want to allow creators to make deep links too. Reach out to our support team at [email protected] to learn more and enable!

Add Members to the Offer

Before adding members to the Offer to generate links, please ensure you have implemented one of Aspire's conversion tracking methods.

When you're ready to generate links, click Add Members. You will see a list of all the members within your Aspire account. To filter by a specific project, click the drop-down menu where it says "All Projects" and select a project.

Select the members you want to generate a link for.

If your Offer has multiple payout options, you can customize the payout option per member at this point or keep the default payout option. Optionally, you may choose to add a deep link during this step. Once everything looks good, click Generate Links.

The links will be automatically generated. You can email members their link by clicking the ellipsis icon (…) and selecting Email Members.

When generating links through your Sales Tracking dashboard, members will not be able to see to access their link under Project Tasks within their Creator Portal. In order to view their tracking link, performance data, and payment history, they will need to access their Affiliate Performance Dashboard using the link you shared with them via email.
