How to Create Product Catalogs
โน๏ธ Before You Start: Ensure your Shopify store is connected to Aspire and you have imported collections or products.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
From your Aspire account, click on your initials in the upper-right corner.
Select Product Fulfillment.
From the left-hand menu, click Brand Catalog.
Click Create Catalog.
โClick the pencil icon beside "Name Your Catalog" in the upper-left corner. Enter a catalog name and an optional description. These will not be visible to members.
Once your catalog is created, you can add products by creating collection items. We provide two selection modes for creating collections: Manual and Smart.
โ
A manual collection includes the specific products that you choose. The collection will always contain the same products unless you manually add or remove them.
โ
A smart collection uses selection conditions to automatically include or exclude matching products. You can specify whether products need to meet all conditions or any condition to be included in the collection item. Whenever the collection is manually synced or auto-synced, products will be re-evaluated and either added if they meet the conditions or removed if they no longer meet the conditions.
โ
โManual Collection:Click Collections, then select Create Collection Item.
In the "Select Collection" dropdown, choose the collection you want to add.
Select the products you want to add. You can also use the search bar to find specific products by name.
To select specific product variants, click the dropdown next to the product and choose your desired variants.
Click Add Collection Item when finished.
โ
โSmart Collection:Click Collections, then select Create Collection Item.
Switch to Smart Selection mode.
Enter a label for the collection (e.g., "Spring Collection").
Add conditions to filter products based on the following criteria:
Collection
Vendor
Product type
Tag
Category
Option (e.g. size or color)
Price
Note: We support "equal to" or "not equal to" logic when using collection, vendor, product type, tag and category as conditions.
Combine multiple conditions to refine your collection and select if the products must match "any condition" or "all conditions".
Click Add Collection Item when finished.
(Optional) You can highlight up to 20 products on the catalog homepage by enabling the Featured Products toggle. Once the toggle has been switched to "On", select Add Products, then choose the products you want to feature.
โ
Defining Selection Criteria
Selection criteria allow you to control what members can choose and set limits based on quantity or price. This helps ensure members adhere to your campaign's rules.
Each catalog can have multiple rules, enabling you to customize the selection experience for different members within the same project.
To create a new rule:
Open a catalog, then click Selection Criteria.
Select Create New Rule.
Enter a label for the rule and optionally, add a description. These will not be visible to members.
โSelect whether you want to set a minimum or maximum quantity limit and/or a maximum price limit.
Add additional conditions if needed:
Click Add Condition.
Rename the condition by clicking the pencil icon (e.g., "Select up to 3 items from Accessories").
Choose the minimum or maximum number of products the member can select.
Specify whether the products should follow "all conditions" (AND logic) or "any conditions" (OR logic).
Mark the condition as Required or Optional:
Required: Members must meet this condition to submit their request.
Optional: Members can skip this condition but must fully comply if they choose products from it.
โ
โExample: If a condition states, "Select a maximum of 2 products from the Skincare collection," and itโs optional, members are not required to choose skincare products. However, if they do, they can only select up to two.
โ
๐ Pro Tip: Use clear, directive names for conditions, such as "Select at least one shirt," as these will be visible to members.
