Aspire automatically converts orders from your Shopify Store Currency to USD if your store uses a currency other than USD. Any order attributed to an Aspire tracking link or promo code is converted using the previous day's exchange rate and displayed in your Sales Tracking dashboard—ensuring accurate reporting and payout calculations without manual conversions.

To enable automatic currency conversions, your Shopify store must be connected to Aspire. If it isn’t connected yet, learn how to connect your store.

How it Works

Every Shopify store has a Store Currency — this is the currency used to set product prices in your Primary market and the currency shown in your Shopify reports. Learn more about Shopify store currencies.

Aspire detects your Shopify Store Currency and automatically converts the sale amount to USD, using the previous day's closing exchange rate, for all tracked conversions. Both the original and converted values will appear in your Sales Tracking dashboard.

If your Store Currency is already USD, we’ll simply record the sale amount as-is.

Frequently Asked Questions

What currencies are supported?

We support all major currencies listed here. If you use a currency that isn't currently supported, please reach out to our Support team.

Can we view sales data in both our Store Currency and USD?

Yes! Within each offer, you'll see widgets for Total Sales, Commissions Earned, and Payments Due displayed in both USD and your Shopify Store Currency.

For promo code offers, click "Store wise conversions" below the widgets. This will show a breakdown by store (for all stores the offer is being synced to), including conversions, total sales, average sales, and commissions earned.

  • The top number shows the USD value

  • The number below shows the value in the Store Currency

Note: If the promo code sync is enabled, this section won’t appear until a new conversion occurs in a non-USD currency.

What currency is the payout calculated in?

Payouts are calculated and paid in USD, using the converted USD value of each order.

Are payouts calculated at the time of payment or when the order was placed?

Payouts are calculated at the time of conversion, not at the time of payment.
When an order is received, Aspire converts the sales amount to USD using the Store Currency’s rate from the prior day, then calculates commissions based on your offer settings.

What if our Shopify store supports multiple currencies?

Even if your store supports multiple transaction currencies, Shopify’s API always sends order data in your Store Currency. Aspire uses this data to perform the conversion to USD.

For more details, see this article on how Shopify performs conversions from local currency to Store Currency.

What happens if we change our Store Currency after connecting to Aspire?

We will begin using the new Store Currency for all future conversions. Previous transactions will not be updated retroactively.

Are exchange rates applied consistently across all orders?

Yes. Aspire applies the previous day’s closing exchange rate uniformly to all eligible conversions. The rate does not vary based on order source or other factors.

Can we use our own internal exchange rates instead?

No. Custom exchange rates per brand are not currently supported. Aspire uses publicly available exchange rates to ensure consistency.
