What are Creator Rewards?

Rewards are performance-based incentives you can offer to creators for reaching specific milestones. They’re designed to motivate creators to drive more conversions and sales by offering perks or bonuses tied to their performance. Rewards are available for both Promo Code Offers and Link Offers.

What types of rewards can we offer?

Rewards can be in the form of discount codes, cash bonuses, and free products.

  • Discount Code: A unique single-use discount code is generated and issued to the creator once they qualify for the reward.

  • Free Product: Creators are prompted to select product through your brand catalog to receive as a gift.

  • Cash Reward: A cash bonus is added to the creator’s commission earnings.

How are rewards triggered?

Rewards can be triggered based on Conversions or Sales, with each category offering different trigger types to support a variety of incentive strategies.

Conversion-Based Triggers

  1. When number of conversions equal X: Triggers a reward one time when the creator reaches exactly X conversions

  2. For every X conversions: Triggers a reward each time the creator hits an additional X conversions (e.g., 5, 25, 50, etc.).

  3. On first conversion: Triggers a reward the first time a conversion is recorded.

Sales-Based Triggers

  1. When total sales are greater than or equal to $X: Triggers a reward when the creator’s total sales reach or exceed $X.

  2. For every $X in total sales: Triggers a reward for every X dollars in sales a creator drives (e.g., $100, $200, etc.).

  3. On first order value greater than or equal to $X: Triggers a reward when the first order with a subtotal equal to or greater than $X is recorded for the creator.

  4. When a single order subtotal is greater than or equal to $X: Triggers a reward when any individual order has a subtotal that meets or exceeds $X.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do creators see the rewards before they’re earned?

Yes, by default creators can see rewards in their Creator Portal. However, you can hide rewards from the portal until they’re approved (useful for surprise or gated rewards).

Can I limit how many times a creator can earn a reward?

Yes. For recurring triggers (e.g., “every 5 conversions”), you can set a maximum number of times the reward can be earned.

How are creators notified when they earn a reward?

Creators can view their progress and any unlocked rewards directly in their Creator Portal, unless the reward is hidden. Creators do not receive an automatic email when a reward is earned. If you’d like to notify them, you can manually send them an email.

Can Automated Tiers and Rewards be used together?

Yes. Automated commission tiers and rewards can be used together within the same offer. They serve different purposes and operate independently—tiers adjust commission rates based on performance, while rewards provide one-time or recurring incentives.

What happens if a creator qualifies for multiple rewards at the same time?

If multiple rewards meet their criteria simultaneously, all eligible rewards will be triggered, unless limited by reward frequency or other eligibility conditions.

Is there a maximum limit to the number of rewards that can be created within one offer?

Yes. Each offer can include up to 10 rewards.

Can rewards be paused?

No, rewards cannot be paused. However, you can make a reward temporarily inactive by adjusting its active dates so they do not include the current date.

Here's how:

  1. Go to your Offer settings.

  2. Click the pencil icon next to the reward.

  3. Expand the Reward Settings.

  4. Enable Reward active dates.

  5. Set a start date in the future.

This will temporarily disable the reward until the new start date.

Can rewards be edited?

You cannot change the reward type once it’s created, but you can update all other reward settings at any time.

If a reward is edited (e.g., the discount value is updated from 15% to 10%), will previously earned rewards be affected?

No, editing a reward will only apply to future rewards that have not yet been unlocked. Rewards that were already earned or are pending approval will remain unchanged.

What happens if a conversion that unlocked a reward is later rejected, after the reward has been claimed or approved?

Once a reward is awarded—whether claimed or approved—it will not be revoked, even if the original conversion is later rejected.
